More of the F. family...
Earlier I posted a few photos from the first half of the session I did with the F. family. Here's a look at how the rest of the session went for us. These people are just crazy lots of fun! Check her out in all her maternity-ness hangin' out on her hubby's Harley. Does is get much cooler than that...I mean, c'mon! And those shoes....yummy!!

Meet the F. family...
This just may have been the most photo-related fun I've EVER had! I really just can't say enough good things about this family (but I'm gonna try!). Mom is a fellow photographer and a very talented one, at that. If you're looking for a photographer in the Macomb area you should give her a call (Moments Captured by Retha)! She's also one of the nicest people I've met. Dad was such a good sport and clearly enjoys his family. And, their son....wow! So sweet and well-mannered. The three of them were up for anything so we tried some new stuff and just had a blast!

Here's a little taste from the first half of their session.

Cranbrook
Several weeks ago I had the opportunity to meet up with a couple of my photographer friends. We decided to grab our kids and head over to Cranbrook House & Gardens for some shots of our own little hooligans. I thought that my daughter was going to jump at the chance to do some 'fashion model' pretending. Um....turns out, not so much. It was fun for both kids for about....oh, I dunno....maybe 30 seconds? In spite of the whole experience being oh-so-boring for them, they gave me just what I wanted and I had a fabulous time. Here are a few of my favorites from the day.

Bittersweet
Today was one of those happy/sad/happy/sad/happy kind of days. I'm sure that thousands of moms are experiencing the same feelings. This morning I sent my youngest off to Kindergarten. Full. Day. Kindergarten. There's part of me that thinks I've never heard of anything quite so beautiful. Two kids....one in 2nd grade and the other in K....do you realize what that means to me? There is the potential for eight solid hours of....say it with me, people.....peace and quiet! So, that's the happy! happy! joy! joy! part of my feelings. On the other side of things we have the fact that my little girl is no longer going to be the same little girl that has been home with me for the last five years. I'm losing my 'best lil' helper', pb&j sandwich maker, and random crazy dance party partner. *sniffle* I know it's all good and she's going to love school and her AWESOME big brother will keep a close eye on her. I want her to be independant and strong and to grow and learn....but I want her to be my baby, too. So, her and I will start new mom 'n daughter traditions that will work for this new stage in her life and it'll be great. But I'm still going to miss the pre-k Miss. P.

Here they are in their first-day-of-school glory. Mr. N. and Miss P.

The beginning....
Well, my very first post. Huh. How fun is this? I'm really looking forward to being able to share some sneak peeks of my clients sessions! As a mom, I know how difficult it is to have to wait and see pictures of your kiddos. I'll plan on posting a few of my favorites from your session within a day or two.
From time to time I'll also be offering specials and will post that information here, as well.
Now....what fun is a post without a few pictures, right? Here are a few of my favorites from an awesome session I did over the holiday weekend. These wonderful young men wanted to surprise their mother some new photos. I know...does it get any sweeter than that!? We met up in Charlevoix and had a great time! Thanks very much M. brothers. Your mom is going to be thrilled!
